08.02.11 - Reading and writing!
He is a late starter , he is 6 years old this year! :) But I am still proud of my darling! :) He is finally reading! We are trying our best to read a book each night! :) Finally we changed roles. He does the reading and I just Listening.
Hazel on the other hand is faster in holding a pencil. She could trace dotted lines pretty well and knows how to spell her name " Hazel Tay" by hard. She does ur mazes and math activities with no fussings.
So mummy started teaching her - free handwrittings. It was difficult at first. She kept on writing the wrong side for the small alphabets ....but with lots of practice and hardwork , she can finally write Aa Bb Cc Dd when asked to. :) She is also progressing to Ee now.
Mummy is also starting words recognising with her too. The words she has now is " I , Am , In , Out , Up , down and a new word today - "Is"
Today we also started learning about "flags" . Keith could recognise "Japan" , " Philipines " , "India" , "Agentina" and afew other flags ytd.
I am loving their progress and hopefully if this continues they will learn better! :)

Desiree also started reading only during the year she turns 6 (after attending Kumon). Once they start reading, you can expect progress to speed up!
And ... I think I am kinda "lost" in what a 3 year+ kid should be doing now since Jordan is so much behind time, still catching up on speech! Let's jia you!
really hope Keith will catch up his peers soon in reading and maths. He is a pretty lazy boy! :( hehe
As for Jordan , dont worry too much , I think he is absorbing all he can now. Maybe when he start talking , he can't stop! :) Hope to hear good news from you real soon! :)
