03.02.11 - 1st Day of cny!

This morning wasn't such a smooth one , daddy couldn't find his envelope full of money to put into the ang paos and he couldn't find his new jeans!!! :(

We rush to Ah ma's place for a fast breakfast then drove to Sim lim square to check if daddy have left the envelope in the office - he still could not locate it! :(



This is my darling's first day outfit! So sexy!

There were two passerby wanted to take a pic of Hazel but she refused! :( Too shy!

We went over to Gu ma's place but there was no one around so we head straight to OG Gong gong's place.

We stayed a while before going to Da Gu ma's place.

There we meet our cousins which we usually meet once a year!

The girls and the boys are all well dressed for the occasion! We had quite a few Ang pao there.

We played with Beyblades and had a lot of fun!

Next stop was the temple! Daddy say we fan Tai Sui

Are the chinese Zodiac that Fan Tai Sui

So wat is Tai Sui ? If you want something Physical, "Tai Sui" refers to the stars directly opposite the planet Juipter. Chinese legend has it that the heavenly Jade Emperor has a team of 60 generals who will rotate to help the emperor govern the heavens as well as the mortal world for the term of a Chinese New Year. It is further said that depending on the features of each general, there will be some implications for the human world related to the features.

For example , if the general governing a particular chinese lunar new year holds a pen , it means there will be some political unrest for the year, However all this is a myth only. Fengshu practioners comment that those whom zodiac signs clash with "Tai Sui" can actually harness and leverage through some means to reduce their undesirable effects.

After praying , we went down to Xiao Biao Yi's Place . :)

Everyone came to Bai Nian in red and pink! :) Sure a happy sight!

While the adults played mahjong and cards ... the kids had fun at the playground and played with fire crackers!

Hazel tried to burn the dried leaves with her crackers and she played this for a while all by herself

While kor kor enjoy burning the crackers at more than 2 ends at a time!

They had fun crawling and sliding down the slide! :)

The night didnt end till 1.30 am ! :) The kids went to bed only at 2am! What a New Year!
